Vitamin K

Vitamin K is closely connected to bone strength and mineral balance. It exists in multiple forms, including one found in plants and another produced by beneficial bacteria in the intestine. Because it is a fat-soluble vitamin, healthy digestion and proper fat absorption are important for maintaining adequate levels in the body.

The gut microbiome contributes significantly to vitamin K availability. When digestion is disrupted—such as in cases involving the pancreas, gallbladder, or chronic intestinal inflammation—the body may struggle to absorb or utilize this vitamin. Supporting digestive wellness helps ensure the body can naturally maintain its vitamin K balance.
